Book Discussion - ND History

The Northern Plains Heritage Book Club will be holding book discussions on the history of the northern plains, led by scholars from regional colleges and universities.  Everyone is invited - no membership is needed - just come and talk about the books!

Underwood Public Library will be hosting the book discussions.  Pick up books (free loan), bookmarks, and other materials from the Underwood Public Library.

March 20th Discussion:   "Lewis and Clark Among the Indians," by James P Ronda, will be discussed by Dr. Michael Yellowbird of the North Dakota State University.

April 10th Discussion:  The 2015 Pulitzer Prize Winner "Encounters at the Heart of the World" by Elizabeth a. Fenn will be discussed by Dakota Goodhouse of the United Tribes Technical College.

April 24th Discussion:  "Jay Cooke's Gamble," by John Lubetkin will be discussed by Dickinson State University's Dr Frank Varney.
